He served as a Cryptologic Technician in the United States Navy and is a civilian Security Specialist for United States Army. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies through the University of Maryland, University College and a Master of Science Information Assurance: Cyber Security with Graduate Honors.
