Signée à Bogotá, le 11 octobre 1850. Texte espagnol. Con mucho placer he recibido i puesto en conocimiento de mi Gobierno la estimable Nota que V. E. se dignò dirijïrme con fecha 12 de julio último, manifestándome que Su Majestad el Rei de Cerdeña habia sancionado el dia 6 del propio mes una ley, que extingue en favor de las naciones, que concedan à la bandera Sarda igual tratamiento, los derechos diferenciales de navigacion i comercio que anteriormente se cobraban á las mercancias importadas en los puertos de ese Reino bajo bandera extranjera. Impuesto del contenido de la referida Nota el Ciudadano Presidente de la República, me ha ordenado contestar á V. E. manifestándole el placer que tan liberal providencia le ha causado; i exponiendo al mismo tiempo que, en virtud de que la ley de 14 de junio de 1847 aboliò en la Nueva Granada los derechos diferenciales de importacion, no se cobran ya hoi tales derechos en nuestros puertos á ninguna nacion extranjera, i por consiguiente tampoco à los buques de los dominios de S. M. el Rei de Cerdeña. Por tanto son innecesarias las órdenes que solicita V. E. se expidan á las aduanas maritimas de la República para que se entienda cesante i caduca la disposicion contenida en el articulo adicional del Tratado de amistad, comercio, i navegacion entre la Nueva Granada i Cerdeña, firmado en Turin el dia 18 de agosto de 1847. Y dejando asi cumplida la órden del Ciudadano Presidente de la República aprovecho gustoso esta oportunidad para ofrecer á V. E. las cordiales manifestaciones del alto aprecio i distinguida consideracion con que 6. Signée à Bogotá, le 11 octobre 1850. Traduction. C'est avec beaucoup de plaisir que j'ai reçu et porté à la connaissance de mon Gouvernement la Note estimable que V. E. a bien voulu m'adresser le 12 juillet dernier, en me notifiant que S. M. le Roi de Sardaigne avait sanctionné le 6 du même mois une foi qui abolit, en faveur des nations qui accorderaient au Pavillon Sarde un égal traitement, les droits différentiels de navigation et de commerce qu'on percevait auparavant sur les marchandises importées sous Pavillon étranger dans les ports de ce Royaume. Informé du contenu de la Note susmentionnée le Citoyen Président de la République m'a ordonné de répondre à V. E. en lui témoignant le plaisir qu'il a éprouvé pour une disposition aussi libérale; et en lui exposant en même temps que, les droits différentiels d'importation étant abolis dans la Nouvelle Grenade en vertu de la loi du 14 juin 1847, on ne perçoit plus dès à présent dans nos ports de tels droits au détriment d'aucune nation étrangère, ni par conséquent sur les navires des États de S. M. le Roi de Sardaigne. Il est donc inutile d'expédier les ordres, sollicités par V. E., aux douanes maritimes de la République pour qu'on regarde comme ayant cessé d'exister la disposition contenue dans l'article additionnel du traité d'amitié, de commerce el de navigation signé à Turin le 18 août 1847 entre la Nouvelle Grenade et la Sardaigne. En m'acquittant ainsi des ordres du Citoyen Président de la République, je saisis avec plaisir cette occasion pour offrir à V. E. les expressions cordiales de la tengo el honor de repetirme de V. I. In consideration of the sum of ten thousand pounds sterling, to be paid by Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to His Majesty the King of Denmark, on the exchange of the ratifications of the present Convention, His Danish Majesty cedes to Her Britannic Majesty, to be possessed by Her Britannic Majesty, her heirs and successors, in full property and sovereignty, all the forts belonging to the Crown of Denmark which are situated on that part of the coast of Africa called the Gold Coast or the Coast of Guinea, and which comprise Fort Christiansborg, Fort Augustaborg, Fort Fredensborg, Fort Kongensteen, and Fort Prindsensteen, with their appartenances and all the guns and stores contained therein; together with all other possessions, property, and territorial rights whatever belonging to His Danish Majesty on the said coast. Art. II. The present Convention shall be ratified, and the ratifications shall be exchanged at London as soon as possible. In witness whereof the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed the present Convention, and have affixed thereto the seals of their arms.
