This introductory anthology to French literature has very good pedagogical features to help students analysis and understand the selected texts. Peter Schofer is a Professor Emeritus of French at the University of Wisconsin--Madison. In addition to authoring Autour de la litterature, he has published numerous articles on film, rhetoric, and poetic systems.
