MORNING PRAYER.

Psalm 19. Coeli enarrant.

HE heavens declare the glory of God:

ΤΗ

And the firmament showeth his handy-work.

2. One day telleth another:

And one night certifieth another.

3. There is neither speech nor language: But their voices are heard among them.

4. Their sound is gone out into all lands:
And their words into the ends of the world.

5. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun: Which cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a giant to run his

course.

6. It goeth forth from the uttermost part of the heaven, and runneth about unto the end of it again:

And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7. The law of the Lord is an undefiled law, converting the soul:

The testimony of the Lord is sure, and giveth wisdom unto the simple.

8. The statutes of the Lord are right, and rejoice the heart:

The commandment of the Lord is pure, and giveth light unto the eyes.

ie Himmel erzählen die Ehre Gottes,

Und die Feste verkündigt seiner Hände Werk.

2. Ein Tag sagt's dem andern,

Und eine Nacht thut's kund der andern.

3. Es ist keine Sprache noch Rede, Da man nicht ihre Stimme höre.

4. Ihre Schnur gehet aus in alle Lande, Und ihre Rede an der Welt Ende;

5. Er hat der Sonnen eine Hütten in denselben gemacht, Und dieselbe gehet heraus wie ein Bräutigam aus seiner Kammer, und freuet sich wie ein Held zu laufen den Weg.

6. Sie gehet auf an einem Ende des Himmels, und läuft um bis wieder an dasselbe Ende,

Und bleibt nichts vor ihrer Hize verborgen.

7. Das Gesez des Herrn ist ohn' Wandel, und erquickt die Seele.

Das Zeugniß des Herrn ist gewiß, und macht die
Albernen weise.

8. Die Befehle des Herrn sind richtig, und erfreuen das

Herz.

Die Gebote des Herrn sind lauter, und erleuchten die

Augen.

9. The fear of the Lord is clean, and endureth for ever: The judgments of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.

10. More to be desired are they than gold:

Yea, than much fine gold:

Sweeter also than honey, and the honey-comb.
11. Moreover, by them is thy servant taught:
And in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can tell how oft he offendeth:

12.

O cleanse thou me from my secret faults.

13. Keep thy servant also from presumptuous sins, lest they get the dominion over me:

So shall I be undefiled, and innocent from the great offense.

14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart:

Be alway acceptable in thy sight,

15. O Lord:

My strength and my redeemer.

Psalm 45. Eructavit cor meum.

Y heart is inditing of a good matter:

I speak of the things which I have made unto the King.

2. My tongue is the pen:

Of a ready writer.

3. Thou art fairer than the children of men:

Full of grace are thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for ever.

4. Gird thee with thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou Most Mighty:

According to thy worship and renown.

9. Die Furcht des Herrn ist rein, und bleibt ewiglich, Die Rechte des Herrn sind wahrhaftig, allesammt gerecht.

10. Sie sind föstlicher denn Gold und viel feines Goldes, Sie sind füßer denn Honig und Honigseim.

11. Auch wird dein Knecht durch sie erinnert, 'Und wer sie hält, der hat großen Lohn.

12. Wer kann merken, wie oft er fehlet ? Verzeihe mir die verborgenen Fehle.

13. Bewahre auch deinen Knecht vor den Stolzen, daß sie nicht über mich herrschen,

So werde ich ohn' Wandel sein, und unschuldig bleiben großer Missethat.

14. Laß dir wohlgefallen die Rede meines Mundes, und das Gespräch meines Herzens vor dir,

15. Herr,

Mein Hort und mein Erlöser.

Psalm 45. Eructavit cor meum,

ein Herz dichtet ein feines Lied,
Ich will singen von einem Könige.

2. Meine Zunge ist ein Griffel
Eines guten Schreibers.

3. Du bist der schönste unter den Menschenkindern Holdselig sind deine Lippen; darum segnet dich Gott ewiglich.

4. Gürte dein Schwert an deine Seite, du Held,

Und schmücke dich schön.

5. Good luck have thou with thine honor:

Ride on, because of the word of truth, of meekness, and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

6. Thy arrows are very sharp, and the people shall be subdued unto thee:

Even in the midst among the King's enemies.

7. Thy seat, O God, endureth for ever:

The scepter of thy kingdom is a right scepter. 8. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: Wherefore God, even thy God, hath anointed

thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 9. All thy garments smell of myrrh, aloes, and cassia: Out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made. thee glad.

10. Kings' daughters were among thy honorable women: Upon thy right hand did stand the queen in a

vesture of gold, wrought about with divers colors. 11. Hearken, O daughter, and consider; incline thine ear: Forget also thine own people, and thy father's house. 12. So shall the King have pleasure in thy beauty: For he is thy Lord God, and worship thou him. 13. And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift: Like as the rich also among the people shall make their supplication before thee.

14. The King's daughter is all glorious within: Her clothing is of wrought gold.

15. She shall be brought unto the King in raiment of needlework:

The virgins that be her fellows shall bear her company, and shall be brought unto thee.

16. With joy and gladness shall they be brought: And shall enter into the King's palace.
