21 Und der andere nahm sie, und starb, und ließ auch nicht Samen. Der dritte desselbigen gleichen.

22 Und nahmen sie alle sieben, und ließen nicht Samen. Zuletzt nach allen starb das Weib auch.

23 Nun in der Auferstehung, wenn sie auferstehen, wessen Weib wird sie fehn unter ihnen? Denn sieben haben sie zum Weibe gehabt.

24 Da antwortete Jesus, und sprach zu ihnen: Ist es nicht also? Ihr irret, darum, daß ihr nichts wisset von der Schrift, noch von der Kraft Gottes. 25 Wenn sie von den Todten auferstehen werden, so werden sie nicht freyen, noch sich frehen lassen, sondern sie sind wie die Engel im Himmel.

26 Aber von den Todten, daß sie auferstehen werden, habt ihr nicht gelesen im Buche Mosis, bey dem Busche, wie Gott zu ihm sagte, und sprach: Ich bin der Gott Abrahams, und der Gott Isaaks, und der Gott Jakobs?

27 Gott aber ist nicht der Todten, sondern der Lebendigen Gott. Darum irret ihr sehr.

28 Und es trat zu ihm der Schriftgelehrten einer, der ihnen zugehöret hatte, wie sie sich mit einander befragten; und fah, daß er ihnen fein geantwortet hatte, und fragte ihn: Welches ist das vornehmste Gebot vor allen?

29 Jesus aber antwortete ihm: Das vornehmste Gebot vor allen Geboten ist das: Höre, Israel, der Herr, unser Gott, ist ein einiger Gott;

30 und du sollst Gott, deinen Herrn, lieben von ganzem Herzen, von ganzer Seele, von ganzem Gemüthe, und von allen deinen Kräften. Das ist das vornehmste Gebot.

31 Und das andere ist ihm gleich: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben als dich selbst. Es ist kein anderes größeres Gebot, denn diese.

32 Und der Schriftgelehrte sprach zu ihm: Meister, du hast wahrlich recht geredet, denn es ist Ein Gott, und ist fein anderer außer ihm.

21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24 And Jesus answering, said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26 And as touching the dead, that they rise; have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord

thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, numely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: there is none other commandment greater than these. 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he

33 And to love him with all the

34 Da Jesus aber sah, daß er vernünftiglich antwortete, sprach er zu ihm Du bist nicht ferne von dem Reiche Gottes. Und es durfte ihn Niemand weiter fragen.

35 Und Jesus antwortete, und sprach, da er lehrete im Tempel: Wie sagen die Schriftgelehrten, Christus sey Davids Sohn?

36 Er aber, David, spricht durch den heiligen Geist: Der Herr hat gesagt zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis daß ich lege deine Feinde zum Schemel deiner Füße.

37 Da heißt ihn ja David seinen Herrn; woher ist er denn sein Sohn? Und viel Volks hörete ihn gerne.

38 Und er lehrete sie, und sprach zu ihnen: Sehet euch vor, vor den Schriftgelehrten, die in langen Kleidern gehen, und lassen sich gerne auf dem Markte grüßen,

39 Und sitzen gerne oben an in den Schulen, und über Tische im Abendmahle;

40 Sie fressen der Wittwen Häuser, und wenden langes Gebet vor. Die selben werden desto mehr Verdammniß empfangen.

41 Und Jesus setzte sich gegen dem Gotteskasten, und schauete, wie das Volk Geld einlegte in den Gotteskasten. Und viele Reiche legten viel ein.

42 Und es kam eine arme Wittwe, und legte zwey Scherflein ein; die machen einen Heller.

43 Und er rief seine Jünger zu sich, und sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Diese arme Wittwe hat mehr in den Gotteskasten gelegt, denn alle, die eingelegt haben.

34 And when Jesus saw that he

answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? 36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

38 ¶ And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

41 ¶ And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.

Das 13 Capitel.

Und da er aus dem Temper sing. sprach zu ihm seiner Jünger einer: Meister, siehe, welche Steine und weld ein Bau ist das !

2 Und Jesus antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Siehest du wohl allen diesen großen Bau? Nicht ein Stein wird auf dem andern bleiben, der nicht zerbrochen werde.

3 Und da er auf dem Oehlberge saß, gegen dem Tempel, fragten ihn befonders Petrus, und Jakobus, und Johannes, und Andreas:

4 Sage uns, wann wird das alles geschehen? Und was wird das Zeichen sehn, wenn das alles soll vollendet werden?

5 Jesus antwortete ihnen, nnd fing an zu sagen: Sehet zu, daß euch nicht Jemand verführe.

6 Denn es werden viele kommen unter meinem Namen, und sagen: Ich bin Christus; und werden viele verführen.

7 Wenn ihr aber hören werdet von Kriegen und Kriegsgeschrey; so fürchtet euch nicht, denn es muß also gefchehen. Aber das Ende ist noch nicht da.

8 Es wird sich ein Volk über das andere empören, und ein Königreich über das andere. Und werden geschehen Erdbeben hin und wieder, und wird fehn theure Zeit und Schrecken. Das ist der Noth Anfang.

9 Ihr aber sehet euch vor. Denn sie werden euch überantworten vor die Rathhäuser und Schulen; und ihr müsset gestäupet werden, und vor Fürften und Könige müsset ihr geführet werden, um meinet willen, zu einem Zeugniß über sie.

10 Und das Evangelium muß zuvor geprediget werden unter alle Völ

ter.

11 Wenn sie euch nun führen und überantworten werden; so sorget nicht,

CHAPTER XIII.

AND as he went out of the tem

ple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones, and what buildings are here!

2 And Jesus answering, said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, over against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, asked him privately,

4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

5 And Jesus answering them, began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you :

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

7 And when ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines, and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

9 T But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought

nicht zuvor, sondern was euch zu derfelbigen Stunde gegeben wird, das redet. Denn ihr sehd es nicht, die da reden; sondern der heilige Geist.

12 Es wird aber überantworten ein Bruder den andern zum Tode, und der Vater den Sohn, und die Kinder werden sich empören wider die Eltern, und werden sie helfen tödten.

13 Und werdet gehasset sehn von Jedermann, um meines Namens willen. Wer aber beharret bis ans Ende, der wird selig.

14 Wenn ihr aber sehen werdet den Greuel der Verwüstung, von dem der Prophet Daniel gesagt hat, daß er stehet, da er nicht soll, (wer es liest, der vernehme es ;) alsdann wer in Judäa ist, der fliehe auf die Berge.

15 Und wer auf dem Dache ist, der steige nicht hernieder in das Haus, und komme nicht darein, etwas zu holen aus seinem Hause.

16 Und wer auf dem Felde ist, der wende sich nicht um, seine Kleider zu holen.

17 Wehe aber den Schwangern und Säugerinnen zu der Zeit !

18 Bittet aber, daß eure Flucht nicht geschehe im Winter.

19 Denn in diesen Tagen werden folche Trübsale sein, als sie nie gewesen sind bisher, vom Anfange der Kreaturen, die Gott geschaffen hat; und als auch nicht werden wird.

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son: and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved,

14 T But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains:

15 And let him that is on the house-top not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take anything out of his house:

16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

17 But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the

21 Wenn nun Jemand zu der Zeit wird zu euch sagen: Siche, hier ift Christus, siehe, da ist er; so glaubet nicht.

22 Denn es werden sich erheben falsche Christi, und falsche Propheten, die Zeichen und Wunder thun, daß sie auch die Auserwählten verführen, so es möglich wäre.

he hath shortened the days.

21 And then, if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or lo, he is there; believe him not.

22 For false Christs, and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

25 Und die Sterne werden vom Himmel fallen, und die Kräfte der Himmel werden sich bewegen.

26 Und dann werden sie sehen des Menschen Sohn kommen in den Wolken, mit großer Kraft und Herrlichkeit. 27 Und dann wird er seine Engel senden, und wird versammeln seine Auserwählten von den vier Winden, von dem Ende der Erde bis zum Ende der Himmel.

28 An dem Feigenbaume lernet ein Gleichniß. Wenn jetzt seine Zweige faftig werden und Blätter gewinnen; so wisset ihr, daß der Sommer nahe ist. 29 Also auch, wenn ihr sehet, daß folches geschiehet, so wisset, daß es nahe vor der Thüre ist.

30 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Dies Geschlecht wird nicht vergehen, bis daß dies alles geschehe.

31 Himmel und Erde werden vergehen; meine Worte aber werden nicht vergehen.

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

24 ¶ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

28 Now learn a parable of the fig-tree: When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

30 Verily I say unto you, That this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass

away.

gel nicht im Himmel, auch der Sohn nicht, sondern allein der Vater. 33 Sehet zu, wachet und betet; denn ihr wisset nicht, wann es Zeit ist.

34 Gleich als ein Mensch, der über Land zog, und ließ sein Haus, und gab seinen Knechten Macht, einem jeglichen fein Werk, und gebot dem Thürhüter, er sollte wachen.

35 So wachet nun, denn ihr wisset nicht, wann der Herr des Hauses kommt, ob er kommt am Abend, oder zu Mitternacht, oder um den Hahnenschrey, oder des Morgens;

36 Auf daß er nicht schnell komme, und finde euch schlafend.

37 Was ich aber euch sage, das sage ich allen: Wachet!

angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work; and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you, I say unto all, Watch.
