This Balance Sheet has been prepared agreeably to the views expressed on the subject, in the Fourth Report from the Select Committee on Public Income and Expenditure, in the las Session of Parliament, by excluding from it the Advances and Repayments on account of the Employment of the Poor and for Local Works, and by including the same in the Account of the Funded and Unfunded Debt, to which they more immediately relate.
