To sleep.

To clear the table. Tell the servant to clear the table.
Dormir.

The thunder prevented me from sleeping.
Endormir. Nous n'avons jamais pu endormir l'enfant.
To lull to sleep. We never could lull the child to sleep.
S'endormir. J'ai commencé à m'endormir à la pointe du jour.
To fall asleep

I began to fall asleep at day-break.
Redormir. Il a redormi malgré le bruit.
To sleep again. He slept again, in spite of the noise.
Se rendormir. Quant à moi, je ne ine suis pas rendormi
