To oblige,to force. He has obliged (or forced me to do it.
Ceindre.

You do not know how to gird on a sword.

To inclose. He caused his fields to be inclosed with ditches.
Contraindre. Je le contraignis à n'obéir.
To force.

I forced him to obey me.
Enfreindre.
