To the American Trade.
LONDON, 15 PICCADILLY, 1870. MR. BERNARD QUARITCH, Bookseller, dealer in first-class REMAINDERS, and highclass Works of Literature, Science, Art, and Natural History, has just issued a Catalogue (may be had from Mr. G. W. Childs, Philadelphia) of his
REMAINDERS, WITH THE PRICES at which they are sold in London ; less a trade discount of 10–15 per cent. for cash.
Any American Bookseller desirous of entering into direct communication with Europe, should favor B. Q. with an
ORDER FROM THIS CATALOGUE, as Mr. Q. is then willing to execute, at the same time,
ORDERS FOR MISCELLANEOUS BOOKS. Mr. Quaritch can offer no special advantages in the supply of New Books beyond punctuality, but he can supply
OLD AND RARE BOOKS, and books published by LEARNED Societies, with greater success than a mere Agent, being almost entirely devoted to that branch of the Trade.
DESIDERATA of Old, Fine, or STANDARD Books, should be sent to Mr. Quaritch, and they will receive his most careful attention. Every Order must be accompanied by the
REMITTANCE of a Bill, due in London two months after sight. Credit is only given to Mr. Quaritch's personal friends, not as a matter of routine. Mr. Quaritch’s Lists of Old Books are issued every month, and are sent gratis on application. A Catalogue of Rare Americana-containing three copies of Elyor's Indian Bible, 4to., Cambridge, 1663, and 1685; the original Manuscript of the Mexican CounCILS, 4 vols. folio; the original Portraits, on canvas, of the Incas of Peru, and about 500 other Choice Books relating to America—is in preparation.
