FINSBURY-SQUARE;

AND SOLD AT 66, PATERNOSTER-ROW.

LONDON: PRINTED BY WILLIAM NICHOLS, HOXTON-SQUARE.

THE EDITORS TO THEIR CORRESPONDENTS AND
READERS.

DURING the year which is hastening to its close, successive Numbers of this Magazine have spoken for themselves; and there is little for the Editors to add, save to offer their most hearty thanks to the literary friends who have enriched the volume, and to all in the large circle of subscribers.

The eminently wise man whose name this Serial bears, (though by no choice of his own,) advises, " When you have nothing to say, say nothing." With filial regard for his authority, and an entire conviction that the counsel is good, we take the hint. It remains but to renew the promise that we will try to do better in future than we have hitherto done, and to commend our labour to the blessing of God.

London, November, 1863.
