mat-ba "by means of" or "through", kă-sú-nùn mat-ba through me or by means of me, a-re dak-nŭn mat-ba go lyan nón mă-kun-ne thro' or on account of this pain I cannot go out; c.-s compared with. mat-bi, -să mat-bi compared with. mat-ban affixed expresses (or is similar to mat-ba) "through" or "by the means of" as tu-še do-să mat-bắn thro' or by the means or assistance of Padmasambhava himself; na-rar kup mat-ban hu fór-nón by means of a small boat he escaped.

man 2. vb. n. to be minus, to be small in quantity, or to be few in number, to decrease, to diminish, a-re man- nónthis has decreased. man a-tet ma-by-nйn do not give such a small quantity; pun man gan ka-ti-nun ma-man-ne at the least there there were not fewer then ten; un-păn lă-vo kă-ti tet man-là nón dyăt-lun lã-vo kǎ-ti-să tšā kat-ka hlo yak-paň ši and the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen G.; li-să mă-ró-săn luk-kup-rem fa-šăñ man găủ if the household be too little for the lamb. Ex. man-là adv. less, attenuatingly, abatingly.

a-man s. diminution, the minority, a few, a-man a-man advly. seldom, a-mannun seldom, not likely, improbable, aman tsu s. the minority. a-man li s. a light burden, few words.

man 3. (T. man) for man-ne 1. except, excepting, 2. no, a-hrặt man mă-nyin-ne except bone there is nothing; dum-ka, kun-lóp man mă-nyin-ne except leaves there are no other clothes. man-pó T. man-pa, man-pe etc. except, only M. 82, 126. mȧ-mak-na tet man-pó fun-să šu kyet la ma-nyin-ne except that they are not yet dead, there is no difference between them and a corpse P.; hй-do man-pó kŭmdun ma-nyin-ne except themselves there are no others; a-ya hu-ya rón-nó yắn manpó li mă-nyin-ne I can say nothing but moanings and lamentations.
