ESRAEL'S FALTH.

THE WORKS WHICH WERE TO BE DONEIN
EACH OF THE SEVEN DAYS, EACH DAY BE-
ING TYPICAL OF A THOUSAND YEARS.

1st ARTICLE.

The 1st Day. The Creation and fall of the life of man, and the preserving of his soul.

We believe that at the beginning, Je- Gen.

hovah created the heaven, and the earth, | 1st Ch. in the first six days of the first thousand years; and he created flesh and bone, and gave it his Spirit by measure, to quicken that body, and called it man, a little lower than the angels.

"And he planted a garden, and put the man therein; and commanded him, saying, Of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat; for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die."(a)

Gen.

2 Ch.

8---17

ver.

Then the serpent said unto the woman, "Ye shall not surely die: so she took of the fruit thereof and did eat, and 1 & 6 v gave also unto her husband, and he did eat."(b) And they sewed fig-leaves together and made themselves aprons. (c)

7 ver.

"And the man said, The woman whom 12---15 thon gavest to be wtih me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

verses.

(a) Signifying the death of the body within the thousand years. (b) She took of the fruit of the tree in its uncleanness and did eat; by giving way unto Satan, and gave unto her husband, and he became inoculated with a heart of blood, and became a living soul.

The transgression of the woman, caused the death of the body to reign over her and her seed, for six thousand years. And the transgression of the man in sinning against God, without repentance while they live. causes the second death to have power over the soul in hell for seven thousand years; these are the two debtors, the body fifty pence, and the soul five hundred; and the officer holds them till their debts are paid.

(c) And (Jesus) seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

And by Jehovah was man driven out from the garden of Eden, lest he should put forth his hand and take of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.

So Jehovah placed at the east of the garden of Eden, cherubims, and a flaming sword, which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life,

haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus said, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. And in the morning as they pased by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Question. What is meant by the fig tree? Answer. It is set typical of man's body. Question. What is meant by finding nothing but leaves? Answer. The leaves which he bears are his children, but no immortal fruit. Question. What is immortal? Answer. It is the body of Christ when he was seen forty days upon this planet, the blood not being the life of his temple, but the Spirit. Question. What is meant by no man eating fruit of the fig tree hereafter? Answer. Because the fig tree was cursed till the fulness of times. It is the curse that was pronounced upon them in the beginning, by Eve giving way unto Satan, and Adam hearkening to her, for a time and times, which is six days, set typical of six thousand years, that it should not bear figs till then. Question. What is meant by figs, and the time of figs? Answer. It is the fruit which flesh and blood will produce without death, when the curse is removed, being no accuser bet" een man and God during the thousand years. Question What is meant by for ever? Answer. For ever is an appointed time of God, which is divided into three periods, each period two thousand years, which makes six thousand. Question. What is meant by the tree being dried up from the roots? Answer At the end of times, all that have sinned against God, and not repented, the second death will have power over their souls, and their bodies will die, as the fig tree was, when it was dried up. But those who have not done it, and are only under the sentence of the first death pronounced upon the body, which is for the sin one against another, will, as said in Isaiah, 2nd chapter, 19th verse: "Go into the holes of the rocks, and caves of the earth," and will be preserved. And when all the others are destroyed they will come out, and seek Mount Zion, the redeemed, the bride, with the Bridegroom of the new world; of which the vine tree, which was Christ, stood a figure. And they will fall down before them, and their lives will be reprieved. And these are the nations which are to be saved, they being of the old world, of which blood is the life, of which the pruned fig tree is the figure spoken of in Luke, 13th chapter. 6---9 verse, which will live a thousand years without death.

"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof.

And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering.

Then began men to call on the name of the Lord."

That he might seek for the preserving of his soul, till the fulness of the time and times, lest the second death should have power over his soul. And then, the way should be opened to the tree of life; his blood should be made flesh; of which there was a figure in each of the three generations, or three times: each time being two thousand years between; Enoch for the first generation: he walked in this light, and the gate was opened to him, and he took of the tree of life, and his body saw not death, but "God took him," which renewed the fulness of the covenant of the preserving of the tree of life for the first dispensation, which was two thousand years, which was for a witness of the fulness of the Spirit before the flood.(a)

And every man borroweth his light from that tree, as the earth borroweth her light from the sun, which is given by measure till the sixth day, which is the last thousand years of the six.

(a) For at the fulness of times those that are prepared for it will receive the fulness of the Spirit, which will always rest on them, which is the partial redemption till they have done the work, of which the body of Jesus was set the figure, when he came out of the River Jordan; and the same by the disciples when Christ breathed on them, and said, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost," (See John, 20th chapter, 22nd verse.) That the Spirit never left them, till it had done the will of God by them; they being born of it, it bearing them from evil.

But Noah found grace in the

eyes of the Lord.

"And all flesh died: And Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark." Being eight persons.

The third day. The law and covenant for the preserving of the soul.

And God said unto Abraham, “I will establish my covenant with thee. This is my covenant: That every man-child among you shall be circumcised. And the uncircumcised man-child, whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people: he hath broken my covenant.
