this publication is the introduction of German Writing in the Exercises as well as in the Reader. Many persons who read a German author with ease are obliged to employ somebody to read letters to them because they are unacquainted with German writing. The introduction of whole pieces printed in written characters will certainly obviate this difficulty.

The superiority of this edition over others is so obvious that, wherever it comes under the eyes of a discriminating teacher, its introduction into his classes is certain.
