SpiritFlight is a collection of essays written over a three year period examining issues of faith as they play out in the public arena of the United States today. They were written with the expressed idea of offering alternative views of religion and spirituality within the context of historical, anthropological and sociological sciences. While the text does draw from the Bible, it also draws information from many other sources. Much of the work draws from Earth Based Religions and some of the best ideas of the Wicca community as well. It is written so that anyone can begin to understand that historical alternatives to Conservative Christianity do exist. SpiritFlight takes the reader back to antiquity to look at issues long covered up by the Christian Authorities of today religious institutions. It brings balance to the world religious dialogue through the use of anthropology, archeology, and Christian mystic traditions.
