Lord, all thy works praise thee, and declare the greatness of thy majefty, power, wisdom and bounty, which furpass all understanding. Thou art good unto all, and thy tender mercies are over all thy works. Thou art holy in all thy ways, and righteous in all thy doings; and keepeft truth for ever. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. We all decay and perish, the heavens themselves

I adore thee, O Lord most high, and most willingly join my heart and voice, this morning, together with all the hoft of heaven and earth, to laud and praise thy glorious name; and give thanks unto thee, whofe mercy endureth for ever. I think myself happy that I know thee; that I live under the care and providence of thine almighty and moft wife goodness; and that I have a good hope, not only of thy bleffing and favour here, but of life for evermore.

Bleffed be thy name, for fending thy Son Jefus to give me these hopes, by his death, and refurrection, and afcenfion to heaven, and the coming of the Holy Ghost. Blessed be thy name, who haft trained me up in his religion, and given me the means and opportunities to know that love of thine, which paffes knowledge. I thank thee for all the bleffed operations and motions of thy Holy Spirit in my heart; and that thou haft fo early inclined me to fear thee, and love thee, and place my contentment and fatisfaction in thy love and favour, which is better than life itfelf. I thank thee, O God, that now thou haft graciously renewed thy kindness unto me, in protecting me the last night from all the powers of darkness, and every evil accident, and raising me up this morning in health and safety to praise thy goodness.

More especially I praise thee for any fenfe I have of these thy mercies; humbly waiting on thee for the encrease of it, and for thy gracious pardon of all my unthankfulness and undutiful behaviour towards thee; which I moft heartily bewail, and defire, and will endeavour to amend.

And for that end I implore the help of thy Holy Spirit, which our Lord hath encouraged me to ask of thee; and told me thou wilt not deny to those that earnestly feek it, and continue to knock importunately at the gate of mercy for it. lieve all his promises to be faithful and
