English Version. Verse 1 heaven. 2 the Spirit of God moved. 6 Let there be a firmament,—— and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament.

* Or, crocodiles: ta'nin, both in Hebrew and Arabic, denotes a great serpent, dragon; (comp. Exod. vii. 9, 10, 12, with Exod. iv. 3.) and is hence applied to the crocodile and other large aquatic or amphibious animals.
