ma pun-mak

ma pun (T. ma mother) s. ma pún zóù relations on mother's side, see pa pùn, mă-.

ma ma fine or in fine clusters or shaggy (said of wool when on sheep's back) or of fine leaves, a-myel ma ma, a-nyóm ma-ma. ma mam speaking to a baby: eat.

ma-ya (Skt. maya) s. affection, a-yu-ad mu-ya nyi to have a. for wife, ma-ya dek the love is broken, ma-ya-nyim-bo adj. affectionate, ma-ya mat vb. to love, to have affection for.

ma-ra s. name of stone, ma-ra hyát a long and thin piece of ditto.

ma-ri s. meat, flesh, Tbr. mán. *ma-re T. ma-re (sill, threshold) s. the lintel.

ma-lak (see ma-lók) s. activity or ex pertness of hand, ma-lak dit-bo adj. expert.

ma-ló s. a hair-noose for snaring birds, ma-ló dón kat a string of nooses, ma-ló dòi hat rui to set ditto. See măt-ló.

mat-ba "by means of" or "through", kā-sú-nün mat-ba through me or by means of me, a-re dåk-nŭn mat-ba go lyan nón mă-kun-ne thro' or on account of this pain I cannot go out; c.-să compared with. mat-bi, -să mat-bi compared with. mut-bắn affixed expresses (or is similar to mat-ba) "through" or "by the means of” as tū-še do-să mat-bản thro' or by the means or assistance of Padmasambhava himself; ni-rur kip mat-bùn hủ tir-nón by means of a small boat he escaped.

mat-lun on account of, as a-re-nún matlu on this account, o-re-nũn mat-lùn on that account, therefore, zo cu-sù mat-lùn provisions for the road.

mat-san p. fut.; s. action, the necessary thing, faciendum, mat-san-re čo gum the necessary thing is religion; mat-san-ka adv. in the space of, (period of time).
