ODE TO ALFRED THE LITTLE.

BY THE

EDITOR OF THE WAG" AND FIGARO IN LONDON."

Hail to thee Alfred Bunn, thou great lessee,
To take two houses you must be a mad 'un;
And if we judge you by the company.

You keep, we fear that you are but a bad 'un.
Though o'er two patent houses you may reign,
Thee as a zany pray excuse my branding;

Since from your velvet breeches it is plain
You're precious soft about the understanding.

Vainly by every kind of petty trick

You try the public to your doors to pull;

But of your stale devices all are sick,'

Your empty pit looks nightly pit-i-ful.
