A fun book with a lot of obscure characters. Although villains from all forms of media are presented (even Shakespeare and the bible), the bulk of the entries cover comic-book villains. An interesting note: while there is some great artwork from old DC Comics, there is not a single picture from a Marvel comic anywhere in the book, despite the many Marvel Comics villains profiled. I assume this was due to some legal dispute; it's not a reason to avoid this book, just a curiosity that the world's largest comics publisher is never depicted graphically. ( )
